Delaware Motion Picture and Television Commission Opens Applications for Entertainment Industry Fund Program

WILMINGTON, Del. (May 1, 2024) – Today, the Delaware Motion Picture and Television Commission announced it is opening applications for a pilot program to grow the entertainment industry in Delaware, as well as market it to outside industry producers and crews as a desirable location site. The program is called the Entertainment Industry Fund.

Through this grant program, applicants with projects of $500,000 or more, can seek reimbursement of up to 30% of production, preproduction, or postproduction expenditures incurred in the State, that are directly used in a production activity or digital entertainment activity. Reimbursements of up to 20% of approved costs can be sought for projects between $100,000 and $500,000.

“We are excited to be able to launch this Pilot program to help grow the entertainment industry in Delaware.” Said, T.J. Healy, Chairman of the Commission. “We have some famous names coming out of this state, and we think the State can also become famous for having a favorable environment for productions. This can also help some of our smaller entrepreneurs jump start their efforts by recouping some of their expenditures as they start out.”

Applications are due by 4:30 p.m., June 14, 2024. They can be emailed to: info@FilmDelaware.com

Applications received after that date will be reviewed by the Commission on a rolling basis as funds are available.
